Fight for fair treatment of workers: Don't buy Nike Article & The Sweatshop Poem

The article I read was a fair treatment of the workers in Nike factories. They are trying to fight for their rights because they are being treated unfairly. Nike was paying the workers $1.25 a day. These wages fail to provide the basic necessities of life of Indonesian workers. Also the bosses in the factories torture and abuse the workers. They kick them, slap them and throw stuff at them. I think they should do something about it and the workers should stand up for them. This article was upsetting because it shows that people take advantages of other people and make them work in the the hot sun and fumes.

The poem was about a girl that was working for many hours in a sweatshop. In the poem it states that the girl feels like a machine that never stops and just keeps working and working. Also she says she feels like a slave. The article talks about a workers perspective in a sweatshop. It shows how people are being treated in sweatshop. It makes me also sad because the girls says she feels like a machine and a slave.
